JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operate various machines including Lathes, Drills, Plate benders, Saw mills, Plasma / Oxy-Act / Waterjet
cutters, welding machines and other fabrication machines. Loads parts in machine, cycles machine, detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools. Run production lots, communicate with supervisor regarding productions runs, and maintains safe, organized and clean work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

JOB DESCRIPTION
Electrical Maintenance Engineer to be based in Staten Island, NY
Principal Duties
Key duties will be to undertake maintenance, repairs and improvements of the electrical
systems and equipment at the company’s shipyard. This will include reactive
break-down and preventative maintenance. Typical equipment includes 12 / 24 V DC and 110 / 220 /
440 volt AC systems, control panels, welding machines, cranes, motors, machine tools, PLC’s, cabling,
lighting, etc.
Experience in all types of control systems is essential.
Small installation jobs and the supervision of external contractors involved in major works will be required from time to time.
REQUIREMENT:

  1. Successful completion of a full electrical apprenticeship and attainment of an appropriate electrical engineering qualification i.e. BTEC, ONC or HNC in Electrical/ Mechatronics
  2. The applicant should have at least 3-5 years experience in a similar electrical role in an industrial environment
  3. An understanding of PLC systems and fault finding
    Knowledge of different types of sensors, such as pressure, temperature, and level control

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
The employee in this job will perform a variety of activities including service, repair and maintenance of shipyard and shipboard machinery / equipment. The employee shall have the capability to work
independently, and as a team member, reporting to the supervisor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform maintenance and repair activities on various pieces of heavy equipment including but not limited to fork lifts, shovels, high pressure pumps, gantry and mobile cranes, snow plows, man lifts and other equipment including pumps, hoses, valves, winches, small engines, compressors, air dryers, air
    tanks, spray painters, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manufacturing-Plasma Cutter/Press Brake Operator
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform all functions associated with operation of the CNC shape cutting machine such as, start- up and shutdown procedures, transferring programs to and from the host computer, setting up the programs to produce required parts, and originating programs from standard shape.
  2. Understand all functions on CNC, i.e. plasma cutting tips/nozzle size and speed charts, kerf settings, amperage settings, standard shapes, keyboard to computer, and appropriate instruction
    manuals
  3. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly operator preventive maintenance
  4. Read prints, determine tolerances, and check plate against prints
  5. Load table to maximize productivity (experience with nesting software a huge plus)
  6. Check material for grade, thickness, and size
  7. Color-code or mark parts as required per routing
  8. Based on the appearance and quality of parts being produced, make appropriate adjustments to the processes, such as travel speed, tip size, tip replacement, gas pressures, kerf compensation, torch height, and other factors as needed to produce the desired quality.
  9. Safely operate an overhead crane and forklift
  10. Communicate problems with CNC shape cutter or any other equipment to lead man, supervisor, and/or maintenance to ensure problem resolution

Engineer
Scope: This position is responsible for all engineering and drawing aspects of jobs, once the job has been awarded to the company (after the estimating is done and before the work is begun). Under the direction of the Chief Naval Architect, the Engineer analyses the drawings and specification from the client and prepare all necessary designs and drawings for us to complete the job, making sure that the designs and drawings meet both the demand for accuracy as well as the time schedule for all jobs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepares all fabrication drawings for jobs that require them, using specifications and design from the customer and develop our shop fabrication drawings to complete the job.
  2. Prepares Work Orders for tasks within jobs and submits to Supervisors/managers for scheduling.
  3. Prepares Bill of Materials for jobs being designed and submits to Purchasing Manager for buying.
  4. Assists the President/Estimator/Architect whenever requested in engineering design work for jobs either in the bid stage or afterward to increase our chances to win the bids.
  5. Responsible for ensuring that all company safety policies are followed within your work area and the entire area of responsibility.
